Monticello Hospital is throwing open its doors for a day dedicated to you, your health, and your well-being! It’s all happening at their free Health and Wellness Fair, and honestly, who doesn’t love free stuff that’s actually good for you? They’re aiming to connect the community with local health professionals and provide resources to live your healthiest life. It sounds pretty great, doesn’t it?
Event Details
Date and Time
Mark your calendars! This awesome fair is happening on Saturday, October 28th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Perfect timing to kick off a healthy Halloween season, right?
Location
You’ll find all the action happening right inside the Monticello Hospital Main Lobby. Easy to find, can’t miss it! I always find hospital lobbies a bit…intimidating? But hey, this is all about positive vibes, so let’s go in with a smile!
Admission
Here’s the best part: it’s completely free and open to everyone! No need to pre-register or jump through any hoops. Just show up and enjoy the day. Seriously, what’s stopping you?
Activities and Offerings
Health Screenings
They’re rolling out a bunch of free health screenings! Think blood pressure checks, glucose screenings, vision testing, and even hearing tests. It’s a quick and easy way to get a snapshot of your health. And hey, maybe you’ll finally find out if you actually need those reading glasses you’ve been putting off, haha!
Informational Booths
Get ready to geek out (in a good way!) at the informational booths. Representatives from various departments at Monticello Hospital and other community health organizations will be there to answer all your burning questions. They’ll be covering everything from nutrition and diabetes management to heart health, cancer prevention, and even mental wellness. So much good stuff!
Interactive Demonstrations
If you’re the hands-on type, you’ll love the interactive demonstrations. Learn life-saving CPR techniques, discover proper stretching and exercise routines (because let’s be honest, we could all use a little help with that!), and pick up some healthy cooking tips. Who knows, maybe you’ll become the next master chef…of healthy food, of course!
Giveaways and Prizes
And because everyone loves freebies, there will be giveaways and prizes galore! You’ll have the chance to win all sorts of health-related goodies. Seriously, who doesn’t love winning stuff? It’s like a little reward for taking care of yourself. I’m in it for the water bottle, personally.
